What is a detox regimen?

A detox is about cleansing the body from the inside and in this way "resetting it." How does a detox work?

There are, of course, all kinds of detoxification treatments. Most of them are about avoiding certain foods and drinks. In almost every form of detox you do without caffeine (coffee and black tea), as well as nicotine and alcohol. Now there is a whole range of options you can take with your personal detox.

No finished products

You can design your detox completely individually and set certain rules for yourself, as well as make a list of foods that you definitely want to avoid. This mainly includes processed foods: ready-made meals, fast food, ready-made sauces, canned soups, additives such as ketchup and mayonnaise, juices, as well as ordered food. How do I go on a detox? Our plan for a week

The preparation: Get in the mood for the next few days before the detox week starts. Give away the sweets in your closet or keep them in a safe place where you will not be tempted.

Instead, fill your refrigerator and supplies with products that go well with the detox but that you look forward to too. If you don't like kale or spinach, don't buy these just because they're healthy. Because then you may stop detoxing faster than you originally intended. The purchase: Also, make a rough plan of what you want to eat and use this list of ingredients to go shopping. For example, if you want to replace dinner with juice on a few days, write down exactly what you need so that the lack of supplies does not make you order something after all or give in to the craving for ready-made products.

What suits you If you decide to do intermittent fasting during detox, think carefully about the eight hours in which you would most like to eat. What do you find easier - postponing breakfast or skipping dinner? Can your plans also be combined with your day-to-day work? Breakfast: A detox in which you do without unprocessed food does not have to taste bland. For breakfast, for example, you can make yourself a delicious omelette. Ideally, take organic eggs and fry them with onions, tomatoes, spinach or other vegetables that you find suitable.

If you can bake bread yourself, do it. But bread from the organic bakery, which does not use any additives, is also suitable for breakfast.
