How to use lulus overdrive on pcsx2

Final Fantasy X WITHOUT spherical board

  • final crush 02/14/2005, 7:56 pm

@ lee: you don't get 99 dark crystals for your first contribution at the chocobor race. for 3 boxes you get 30 giant wings (with this you can forge hp expander onto a weapon ) you have to catch all monsters 5 times then you get 99 dark crystals and you can fight against ultimabusters.

for everyone who trains: this is best done at the monsterfarm. But that costs, the best way to earn gil here: in the omega grotto you will often come across a lizard together with a chest. Sometimes when you try to steal the box (not to steal it) a facial expression appears. If you defeat it, you get 50,000 gil with a weapon with a double gil even 100,000

and one more thing when you have circled the spheroidal board, the parameters of the charas do not have 255 but about 160 and 20,000 hp then only attack-, hp -... spheroids use something every free field. if you are still not satisfied you have to buy explosive spheroids from the monster farm (after victory over ultima buster) for 10,000 gil each. With this you can then delete weak fields and then replace them with spheroids.
    that was it

@ final crush: you are of course right. Thank you for the correction
@ KasperKatzen: With FFX-2 everyone learns 100% in every costume and it's the only cool thing about the game, the combat system. Insanely good skills and a few silly ones (sometimes the ones with the pets) but otherwise really useful. The first time I played through, I didn't take the diva that you have right away seriously. However, with her you learn a dance that puts the group in a hurry (Hastga) and one that slows down all opponents (Gemachga) and that's not all, it's just the beginning. Maybe it is worthwhile for you to delve deeper into the combat system. I also think it's great that it's not turn-based.

uand how should you efrye (or as the nochma is called killen -.-)
you already have probs to kill when you level up

    GrEEtZ DDarkI

  • Loraluma February 16, 2005, 7:45 pm

efrey? with that I also had rpobs with leveling, but without .. well, some kind of thing helps. is also a matter of luck ..

  • final crush 02/17/2005, 4:01 pm

Efrey is actually not that difficult if you have trained a little bit helps and you should have or use hastga. If you have done that you shouldn't have any problems with his poison attack in time with the extra action "to move away" then you should run closer again because your spells only do half as much damage over a long distance. only wakka normally pulls off a lot. but if your chras are too weak for close combat you should fight over long distances and support wakka with cheering.
if efrye has lost two thirds of his hp he uses a spell that you cannot neutralize with slowly. if you have anti-z make use of it! otherwise you can also use the airship's missiles if you are further away, but this only works three times and only if cid gets another turn before efrye approaches again.

ps: acts of desperation such as kimahris exploding are also allowed (but then kimahri does not get AP and you can only take part in 2 fighters at the same time for the rest of the fight)
you should protect yourself from stone with armor before the fight

So, when I created a thread with this topic, I was referred to this one, so I refrain from any suggestion that I am pushing up ancient threads again.

So as the topic says I started yesterday, unfortunately I have SO much time on the day so I'm only in Luca and I'm already happy when it gets really difficult ... Seriously, I'm looking forward to a little child ^^. Yunalesca without Lvln .. boha

Since the thread is older I think that some should be done with it and I would like a few feedbacks, so according to the motto Was much too difficult I will never do it again :-)

  • Well, a few users will have tried it, but not very many. Anyway, I did it more than a year ago and didn't find it that difficult. Basically, this way of playing is based on anticipation, tactics and a little knowledge of the game mechanics.

Ok, a short summary of what to expect.

The beginning is easy. You should get along to the thundering steppe without any major problems. The tricky phase only starts in the Macalania Temple. From Seymor Varia it gets easy again, thanks to Quartett 99. The last boss (Braskas Bestia) is pretty tough again.

    A few more tips:

You should definitely have another save where you have all of the Al Bhed lexicons. You then import it into your current game and get the 99x turning sheet as a reward before the fight against Efrye. With 2x turning blades you can then use Rikku's ecstasy to cause Supernove (19,998 damage to all enemies).

The best way to level Bestia is through normal battles. After about 30 fights (no matter if victory or escape) the stats of all Bestia improve a little. After a total of 600 fights there is no further increase. You can use this fact to make the tricky phase (from Macalania Temple) pretty easy. So just fight a lot of fights (or steal a lot with Rikku). You can of course also use the option with "raising".

Let Rikku steal as many items as possible, especially the items that simulate spells. So something like chocobo feather, moon veil, silver hourglass, etc.

When it comes to weapon abilities, the following are very interesting:
    - Preventive strike (Char acts first, becomes very important later in the game)
    - Dodge counter (the damage is meager, but the character dodges physical attacks relatively often, Rikku should definitely get the ability)
    - Stone strike / attack (quite useful to defeat normal opponents)

Activate the spheroid fractura in every temple. Anima is very helpful with the last couple of bosses. You don't need the Magus Trio and Yojimbo.

That's enough for now, maybe other users will join in and have a few tips ready.

Oh yeah, where you are in Luca right now. It would be quite useful if you could buy the O'aka Chamber Strike Weapon for Tidus. This is very helpful for a later boss and also quite practical.

Rockfall is ne abiltiy that you can build into your weapon, but only if 1 or more slots are free.
with stone chipping you can destroy opponents who are NOT IMMUNE against stone chipping with one blow

to build a stone impact (sometimes set in stone) into a weapon you need: 10x perseus grenade

to build a stone attack (almost always in stone) in a weapon you need: 60x perseus grenade

if you still have questions, then ask

    .
I absolutely did not find it (but it can also be that I was lucky with the thing)
As you mentioned before, Quartett 99 is one of the most useful ecstasies. As a result, even a normal thunderstone does 5x 9999 HP damage. Braska's Aeon has 60k HP in the first phase. You could give her the last blow with your own Aeon and then automatically sacrifice her. For the 2nd phase you would only need either 2 stones or an ecstasy that strikes several times (from me out of anger)
Since only the ecstasy of Braska's Aeon is an area attack, it shouldn't be a problem to have at least one Chara on the field.

Sounds a little unsporting, but it's the easiest way.
(In later fights, despite the permanent Guardian Angel, I had more probes against my full Aeons> _ <)

    @Sins Shuppe Ghi:
The elementary spells of the 2nd degree (i.e. Eisra, Feura ...) would be very useful in the fight.
Otherwise first slaughter the upper head, then the arms and then the body.

I know that. That's how I did it. The only problem is that you have to stick to a very specific rhythm. So you have to pay close attention to the sequence of moves and know when to do what. If you don't know how to do it, then you have some problems in the fight. With the Magus trio or proper armor (e.g. Auto-Phoenix) it is a bit easier, but it also takes time to achieve that.

In the second phase, by the way, Braskas Bestia often uses an attack that hits all characters. After all, I went through the Game Over attack very often because I couldn't get it baked to land 8 or more hits with Lulu's anger.

The fights against your own bestia are all pretty easy IMO. Either defeat with your own bestia or with Rikku's ecstasy (e.g. Supernova).
  • Dark Knight 09.09.2006, 07:46

HMMM .. Quartet 99mist yes ne Quite a nasty composition of items .. I will try to use it as little as possible, well how blatant the one guy on the internet is (no bestias except for Seymour Flux and the penalty round in Bevell)
hmm ...... If I get 99 turning blades I can use Supernova (mix with Rikku). Also pretty nasty .. I will only use it if absolutely necessary.

Did not buy the weapon with Gemachschlag .. did not know that it is important ^^. Looked in here too late.

My next boss is the chocobo eater, it's sure to be funny. Well, as soon as I have Rikku, it will be a bit easier again.

  • However, later in the game you will not be able to avoid using Rikku's ecstasies. Without this ecstasy, your damage potential is very limited. It works without these ecstasies, but then the bosses sometimes take a long time.

The weapon with the Gemach strike can still be bought in Luca. So maybe you could run back again to get them (your Bestia also level up a bit, which is very practical). But it's not that important either.

  • Dark Knight 09/10/2006, 10:21 am

Nearly the only reason why I would have got hold of it again (the weapon in Luca, which you get from Oaka, who unfortunately is no longer wandering around in Luca at this time) would be because of the Al Bhed thing that Yuna kidnapped, I say the warning you boha ^^, Matrix isn’t shit.

I also got some advice about the cattle are weak against Gemach and I didn't have the gun.
I managed it somehow, I can say that was the first time I died in the NSG game, the 2nd time was on the thunderbolt against thunder particles and Ralvor .. the stupid crap just didn't want to die and has healed itself again and again.

I am immoment now when it comes to travel needs.
I'm looking forward to the Illumina Wabbelmassen blended in Macalania. 9999 Hp. O.o

  • Gast13582404.11.2006, 18:25

So I want to use square 99 on the last boss opponent.
If you catch all the monsters in Macalania you will get 60 light stones which also do a lot of damage.
