hiho, have another problem

I would like to assign today's date to a variable in the format ddmmyyyy, where mmm should stand for the month, i.e. the abbreviation.

Could someone give me an example of how I can get such a formatted date?

greeting

Donald

Hi,

you have 2 options:
1) dim a as date
a = date
Usage: debug.print format (a, "dd.mmm.yyyy")

or
2) dim a as string
a = format (date, "dd.mmm.yyyy") -> but is a text and not a date (calculation only possible with conversion)

I'll try yours, thank you very much

have currently tried one myself:

Sub test () a = Format (Date, "dd.mm.yyyy") b = ab = Mid (a, 4, 2) Select Case b Case "01" b = "Jan." Case "02" b = " Feb. "Case" 03 "b =" Mar. "Case" 04 "b =" Apr. "Case" 05 "b =" May. "Case" 06 "b =" Jun. "Case" 07 "b =" Jul. "Case" 08 "b =" Aug. "Case" 09 "b =" Sep. "Case" 10 "b =" Oct. "Case" 11 "b =" Nov. "Case Else b =" Dec. " "End Select c = Left (a, 2) &" "& b & Right (a, 4) End Sub
