Yo. Then theoretically booting from the DVD should work again with the old key. Select with cursor and enter in the boot manager, if trackpad wants nit. It doesn't help much now, but it shows you whether the book is still booting.

If so, then get a new disk and the problem should be solved

If you still have a USB housing, then you can try the old disk in there and hang it on the Mac when the boot from the DVD is finished and you can access the utilities and the FPDP on the DVD. Then use it to repair the externally attached disk. Vlt. is it just what is over
