Palm branches mean something

Leviticus 23: 33-44

33 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

34 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month, the feast of tabernacles is seven days to the Lord.

35 The first day shall be called holy, that ye come together; you shall not do any service work.

36 You shall sacrifice to the Lord for seven days. The eighth day is also to be called holy, when you come together and offer your sacrifices to the Lord; for it is the day of the meeting; you shall not do any service work.

37 These are the feasts of the Lord, which you shall consider holy, that you should come together and offer sacrifices to the Lord: burnt offerings, meat offerings, drink offerings, and other offerings, each according to its day.

38. Except for the sabbaths of the Lord, and your gifts, and vows, and gifts that you give to the Lord.

39 So on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have brought in the fruits of the land, ye shall keep the feast of the LORD for seven days. On the first day it is the Sabbath, and on the eighth day it is also the Sabbath.

40 And on the first day you shall take fruit from beautiful trees, palm branches, and maize from thick trees and stream meadows, and rejoice seven days before the LORD your God.

41 And you shall keep the feast to the Lord seven days of the year. It should be an eternal right with your descendants that they celebrate in the seventh month.

42 You shall dwell in tabernacles for seven days; Anyone who is native to Israel should live in tabernacles,

43. That your descendants know how I made the children of Israel live in tents, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord, your God.

44 And Moses told the children of Israel these feasts of the Lord.
