Description

The present invention relates to a part with which seats, preferably in motor vehicles, are equipped so that they can be rotated and set up as desired so that the person sitting thereon can change the seat direction deviating from the direction of travel.
Various types or models of rotatable plates are currently known and in use which are built into seats of motor vehicles, and each type has different design and application features, which are sometimes complicated and cumbersome, so that these plates are large in volume, bulky, and are by no means convenient or efficient to handle or use and in some cases are extremely expensive to manufacture.
The object of the present invention was to modify these rotatable plates so that they were more appropriate and therefore easier to handle, lighter, less bulky, easier to manufacture and, in particular, safer and better able to fulfill their function in any motor vehicle or means of transport. This object was achieved by the production of the part according to the invention, through which the various problems were solved that had to be defined in order to provide an accessory part and a suitable and functional product for those interested in it.
This task was accomplished by carefully examining the turntable discussed here, which offers the following advantages:
  • - It is a useful device compared to any other currently known device.
  • - It can be installed in any car seat.
  • - It is suitable for seats in all means of transport that move on wheels, on water and in the air.
  • - It is equipped with a double ball bearing ring, which makes it smooth and easy to operate.
  • - It can be easily locked in any position.
  • - A minimum of force and no effort is required to operate.
  • - It has small dimensions.
  • - It consists of sheet metal of the appropriate thickness and is provided with appropriate reinforcing ribs.
  • - It is therefore compact, robust and manoeuvrable.
  • - It allows any setting above three hundred and sixty degrees.
  • - It can be locked with any fast-acting hard actuator.
  • - It can also be used with components that are not seats, but which must rotate slowly and on which considerable loads rest.
In order to more easily define the present invention, the following is a more detailed description of a preferred embodiment, which is given by way of example, but not in a binding or restrictive manner, reference being made to the accompanying drawings as follows:
Fig. 1 shows a device according to the invention, seen in a perspective view from above, without built-up seats or any other loads, in the assembled state and provided with a side handle for locking or unlocking;
Fig. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the device according to the invention, in which the dashed lines show the two ball bearing rings on which the rotational movement takes place between the two plates that make up the device, each of these ball bearing rings running in its own cage;

The turntable consists of the following parts:
