Rice Recipes: How To Cook Rice?

Rice is one of the most important types of grain used worldwide. It is the main diet of around 50% of the world's people. You will learn rice growing, how to cook rice and various reception of fried rice.

Where is rice grown?

The rice is originally from China and India. Now it is mostly grown in China, India, Japan and Thailand. The acreage in China is one quarter of the world's rice cultivation.

How do you cook rice?

1. Wash rice: Do not wash the rice more than three times. If it is washed more than three times, the nutrients in the rice are severely lost, so that the flavor of the steamed rice is also reduced

2. Soak rice: First soak the rice in cold water for an hour. This allows the rice grains to absorb moisture completely. The steamed rice will be fuller and bigger. .

Fried rice

Fried rice is a common cuisine in China. This is leftover from cooked rice. Shijin fried rice with eggs


Rice 2 bowls or 250g

Eggs: 2

Shrimp: 100g

Ham: 50g

Peas: 50g

Carrot: half root

Shiitake mushrooms: 2 pieces

Chives: 2 pieces

Salt: 3g or according to your taste

Oil: 40ML / 2EL


  1. 1. Shrimps are diced, then the cooking wine and salt are added for about 15 minutes. Cut the carrots, ham in cubes, shiitake mushrooms in thin slices and spring onions in small pieces. Peas (beans) should soak before preparation.

The rice has to be cold, not cooked too quickly or too soft, otherwise it will be very sticky. Carrots contain carotene. That is fat soluble. That is why we first advise carrots with oil. So the color can be a bit orange and more beautiful. The difficult-to-cook vegetables, such as peas, can be cooked first.

Fried rice with rooster
