Zero gravity car how does it work

So it goes on with "Fast & Furious 9" and 2 (!) Other sequels

On March 23, 2021, “Fast & Furious 6” will be shown at 8:15 p.m. on RTL. A successful action hit, but it hardly helps to make the wait for "Fast & Furious 9" more bearable. The ninth part of the Raser saga was shot a long time ago, but the cinema release has already been postponed several times due to the corona pandemic.

Incidentally, “Fast 9” is not supposed to be the last part of the series: With “Fast & Furious 10” and “Fast & Furious 11”, two further sequels are already planned, but after which it will really end. Here you get the most important information about the upcoming sequels.

When will "Fast & Furious 9" be released?

"Fast & Furious 9" was originally supposed to be released in April 2019. But then the spin-off "Hobbs and Shaw" was released and "Fast 9" was postponed to 2020. Corona then thwarted the new date and so the cinema release moved backwards and forwards, from April to May until finally June 25, 2021, which is currently the official US date.

There is still no official start date for Germany. If the cinemas have reopened by then, we are assuming a release on June 24, 2021, because our new films mostly start on Thursdays and not on Fridays like in the USA. In the current situation, however, it cannot be ruled out that “Fast & Furious 9” will be postponed again.

Family Zoff in "Fast & Furious 9": Vin Diesel vs. John Cena

The ninth part of the series is more about family than ever. Because Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) suddenly sees himself with his long-lost brother Jakob (John Cena) faced. He's not only a brilliant thief and an ice-cold killer, but also as skilled at the steering wheel as Dom.

From a young age, Jakob always had the goal of surpassing his brother. In order to finally realize his dream, every means is right for him, and so he allies himself with the astute cyber-terrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron), who we already know from "Fast & Furious 8".

You can also take a look at the upcoming family feud in the trailer. The usual exaggerated and spectacular stunts should of course not be missing:

As the trailer already shows, Dom also receives support from a friend who was believed to be dead. Han (Sung Kang), who supposedly blessed the temporal in “Tokyo Drift”, is apparently in the best of health again.

There will also be flashbacks in “Fast 9” in which Dom Toretto can be seen as a child. The young version of the protagonist is apparently played by none other than Vin Diesel's son Vincent Sinclair. So much for family. Much more exciting, however, is that Dom & Co. is apparently going into space with “F9”as Tej actor Ludacris indirectly revealed.

It actually happens: "Fast And Furious 9" star confirms crazy fan theory

Even if it sounds crazy: A trip into space seems almost like the only logical step for the "Fast & Furious" series. Because how else can the insane action bombast from the predecessor be topped? A challenge that gets bigger with every film and raises expectations for the grand finale of the blockbuster series.

The grand finale with "Fast & Furious 10" and "Fast & Furious 11"

After “Fast & Furious 9”, two more sequels await us, about which little is known so far. What is certain is that it will be the final parts of the saga, which, like the Marvel hits "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame", are conceived as a closely related two-part series.

Further spin-offs with supporting characters like in "Hobbs & Shaw" are not excluded after this finale, it is only the Toretto saga that will actually end.

Justin Lin is supposed to direct "Fast 10" and "Fast 11". The Taiwanese has already directed “Fast & Furious 9” and parts 3, 4, 5 and 6. So far there are no details about the plot of the two-part finale, nor are there any start dates. But one thing should be clear: In “Fast & Furious 10 + 11”, too, there will be plenty of action again.
