How to use Otosan ear drops

Ear drops

Ear complaints such as ear pain, pressure in the ear, stinging in the ear, sudden hearing loss and the like are extremely uncomfortable. Again and again there is a plug of ear wax (medicinally cerumen) behind the symptoms. There is now effective and gentle help against excessive ear wax.

Ear wax is a natural phenomenon

First of all, ear wax is a natural phenomenon. Like all mammals, humans produce earwax in the earwax glands, modified sweat glands. The function of cerumen is to keep the eardrum moist, to keep or remove dust and other dirt particles from the eardrum, to kill bacteria and fungi and to keep insects away. In order to be able to fulfill the latter functions, the ear wax contains lysozyme and other bitter substances.
In a functioning system, the viscous cerumen mass is slowly pushed towards the auricle by the speaking and chewing movements of the lower jaw and gradually removed.
However, if people produce too much earwax or very solid earwax, if they hardly eat or speak, for example for reasons of age, or if the ear canal is very poorly shaped, a plug can form from the earwax, which clogs the ear canal and causes mild to severe ear problems pressure in the ear, whistling in the ears or other ringing in the ears to ear pain.

See a doctor if you have ear problems

In the case of ear complaints, you should definitely consult your doctor first so that he can clarify the causes. Infections such as otitis media or foreign bodies in the ear belong in the hands of a doctor and cannot be fought with home remedies!

Keep ears clean

Listening in groups with background noise is becoming increasingly difficult.

Do you want to keep your ears clean? This is actually not necessary with normal ear wax production. The cerumen is an effective mechanism for keeping the ear canal clean. On its way out, it takes dust and dead skin particles with it into the auricle and at the same time disinfects the ear canal against fungi and bacteria.
Do not disturb this mechanism. However, ear wax that is visible in the auricle does not look very appetizing. You can remove that. Use a washcloth with warm water or use special ear drops that soften it a little, and then wipe the ears.

Help against a plug in the ear

Do you suffer from excessive ear wax production or even an ear wax plug?
In no case should you try to use a cotton swab to pull out the wax. Not only can you use a cotton swab to push the wax in deeper instead of pulling it out, but you can also injure the eardrum. Not only do you cause yourself a lot of pain, you can also endanger your hearing!
One way to get rid of wax and ear discomfort is to visit a doctor's office. If necessary, the doctor will either rinse the ear with water at body temperature, suck off the cerumen with a special, thin tube or very carefully remove it with a kind of small hook. Particular caution is required with the latter.
An alternative are special ear drops that soften the ear wax. You can then rinse the cerumen out in the shower or wipe it with a cotton ball or washcloth, for example. In the better case, when there is still no plug, these special ear drops can prevent the formation of such a plug at all.

Otosan natural ear drops and their application

Otosan natural ear drops are placed in the auricle with the head tilted: 4 - 5 drops for adults, 3 - 4 drops for children. After allowing it to take effect for a few minutes, in which the head is kept tilted, the ear can be carefully cleaned, for example in the shower or with a cotton ball. Post-treatment with Otosan ear candles is particularly efficient, the chimney effect of which pulls out the contamination of the ear.
In acute complaints, the application is repeated 2 to 4 times a day for three days. If there is no improvement after this, you should definitely consult a doctor.
If Otosan natural ear drops are only used to prevent the formation of a plug in the event of excessive wax production, repeat the application once a week.
Otosan natural ear drops are also suitable as a supportive measure for therapies for ear infections or other ear complaints.
Under no circumstances should you use Otosan natural ear drops if the eardrum has perforations or if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
