1-2 vanilla pods
½ l milk
3 tablespoons of sugar
1 pinch of salt
2 egg yolks + ½ cup milk
3 tablespoons of cornstarch
some cold water

Cut open the vanilla pods, scrape out the pulp and heat in a saucepan with the milk, sugar and a pinch of salt while stirring. Bring to the boil briefly and then remove from the hob.

Mix the cornstarch with cold water and whisk the egg yolks with half a cup of Mich.

Put the pot back on the hob and remove the vanilla pods from the milk. Slowly pour the starch into the hot milk and bring to the boil while stirring until the starch sets. Only add as much starch as it takes to set.

Remove the pudding from the heat, let it cool down for a moment, and then slowly stir in the whisked egg yolks.

Put in a bowl or serving glasses. Cover the surface with cling film to prevent skin from forming.

Chill in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours and then serve the homemade pudding with fresh fruit, chocolate sprinkles or a sauce.
