What is the SOS button for and how do I use it?

Using the SOS button, you can use the Location Alert app installed on the device to send a predefined, individual SMS message, including your current location, to up to three predefined contacts.

Using the SOS button:
1. Note: The SOS button must be set up to function properly.
To access the SOS button, simply open the cover of the SOS button and then hold the button down for 1.5 seconds as shown in the images.
2. Using the SOS button, you can use the Location Alert app installed on the device to send a predefined, individual SMS message, including your current location, to up to three predefined contacts by default.
3. Before you can use the button to send messages, you must define the custom message content and the recipients of the message (s).
4. The location provided by the app is provided by your mobile device and is only sent to the message recipients you have specified.
5. The accuracy of your location information and the ability to send an SMS using Location Alert will vary depending on network conditions, and you will not be able to use this feature in areas with no wireless coverage.
6. You must also activate the location function (Settings> Location) and make sure that the "Location Alert" check box is activated (Settings> SOS button).
7. For security reasons, your device must be unlocked in order to use this function. If you want to use this feature in a hazardous area, it is recommended that you select a long display off time so that your device stays unlocked longer (Settings> Display> Off time), or you choose to temporarily disable the screen lock (Settings> Security> Screen lock).
