Recreational Chef 101 How To Set The Clock

Brief clarification of the statements regarding the setting of the parking disc when parking is only allowed to a limited extent, in the example to 2 hours between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

In the example, there is no indication of how the car driver would actually have to set the parking disc if he had parked his car at 8 p.m. the evening before.

He would then have had to set the parking disc to exactly 7 a.m., i.e. the start of the earliest possible limited parking time.

It is somewhat misleading, however, when it is stated that, in the case of limited times, the parking disc should not be set to the half hour following the arrival time, but should be set to the start of the short-term parking time.

This is only correct if I park my car there before the time limit begins, as in the example. If, on the other hand, I only arrive during the restricted parking time, in the example around 9:40 a.m. and am allowed to park for a maximum of 2 hours, then I can set the parking disc as normal for 10 a.m. arrival time.

The text incorrectly states that the parking disc should be set to the beginning of the short-term parking period.

In the given example of the time restriction from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., this would mean the curious result that I would have to set the parking disc to 7 a.m., the start of short-term parking, even when arriving at 9.40 a.m. Obviously, this is wrong.
