How to update Chrome on Android

There are two ways to update Chrome for Android: via our website or via Google Play, we explain both options to you

Update Chrome with Malavida

First make sure that the installed version needs to be updated. To do this, you have to check which one it is, and to find out you have to go into the menu first Settings walk. Look for a gear icon under the apps, then click on it:

Find the access to the Android settings

As soon as you open the Android settings, you will see several menus. In this case, you need to click on Apps & Notifications:

Click Apps & Notifications

Depending on your version of Android and the manufacturer of your phone, there should be a section titled See all apps, AppInfo, Installed Apps, or something similar. Click on it for a full list of all the apps installed on your phone:

Open the full list of apps

Now you can see all the applications that you have installed on your phone. Now you can see all the applications that you have installed on your phone.

Look for Chrome among the installed applications

You get to the screen with the detailed information of the app with the most important properties for the user. If you look around, you'll find an area called Advanced at the end. Click on it. Note: Depending on the manufacturer, model, operating system version and Android skin of your phone, you can see the version number if you scroll to the end. There you can find out which version of Chrome is installed on your phone:

Scroll until you see the version you have installed

With this number in mind, you can now check our directories to see if your version matches the one we host. If you look closely, the version number will appear next to the name of the application. Is it higher than the version you have installed? If the answer is yes then click on it to open the download page. Then click the Download button:

Download the Malavida Chrome APK

You will now be taken to a second download page where you have to click the same button again to get the APK. The download will begin and as soon as it ends you will have the option to open the APK file at the bottom of the screen. Click Open to install it:

Open the downloaded Chrome APK

Also note that different Android versions may not display the same notification, although you can find the file in your Downloads folder. On the other hand, if you haven't given Chrome permission to install applications from within the browser itself, an on-screen message will let you know and prompt you to do so. You must also have activated the installation of apps from unknown sources in older Android versions.

You will now come to the Android Package Installer, which will ask you if you want to install the application update. If you want to do this, click Install:

Click Install to start the update

After the installation, the following message will appear on the screen:

The Chrome update is installed

And the app installs and updates perfectly.

How to update Chrome from Google Play

As I said, there are two ways to update an application. We have just seen the first, we are now showing you the second. To update Chrome via Google Play, first open the Big G Store using its link on your device:

Go to the Play Store

On the main screen, click the search bar:

Click into the search box at the top

Enter "Chrome" and click on the magnifying glass symbol (or a similar one) on your keyboard:

Enter chrome and click the magnifying glass on the keyboard

You will then land in the search results screen. As before, we click on the first result because that is the stable version of the browser. We go to the specific page of the app where we have to click on the Update button when the Google Store finds that we have a lower version than the latest one (in this case it is like this):

Click the Update button

Once we do this, the download and installation process will begin. When it finishes we will see that the update button has become an uninstall button:

Open the browser from here

There is nothing else to do now. That way, Chrome will be updated perfectly. It's worth noting that this process can be done automatically by the operating system. So if you have activated automatic updates in the settings of your terminal, you do not have to check them manually. One more thing I have to tell you is that the versions of Google Play are not always the latest available versions as they sometimes take longer to be available in this archive. So if you have activated automatic updates in the settings of your terminal, you do not have to check them manually. If you want to be on the cutting edge, the first method is more reliable.
